Chandrashila Trek which can be a great experience for amateurs is an easy four day trek. To get the perfect 360 degree view of the Himalayas Chandrashilla top is the only place. It begins from a small village Sari which is on the road head and the following trail takes us to a beautiful lake- Deoria Tal, which gives perfect sightings for mountains of Choukhamba and Kedarnath- one of the prime pilgrim spots of Hindus. It’s a small and easy trek with relaxed walks in which you don’t have to put much vigor. This is a perfect trek itinerary for anybody who is looking for a relaxed trekking tour from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.

Morning 8:30 report in our office and meet our trekking team, and then drive to Sari which takes about 8 hours. The drive is spectacular and along the Ganga, Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. En route visit at Devprayag. The historical town is situated on the confluence of river Alaknanda & Bhagirathi River which makes the holy Ganges. Reach Sari village and from here trek to the most beautiful Himalayan Lake Deoriatal. Arrive and camp near the lake. The rest of the day is to explore the area around this beautiful lake. After Dinner overnight stay in Tent at Deoriatal.
Wake up with a beautiful sunrise view of the snow covered Himalayan Peaks in the morning. The trek starts to Chopta after breakfast. It’s a gradual trek and the views are worth the effort. We pass through the dense forest and beautiful alpine meadows dotted with flowers. Arrive Chopta and camp at outskirts. Hot meals will be served shortly with overnight stay in tent.
You’ll wake up early morning so that you can reach on time the summit to see the Himalayan peaks panoramic view. The trek is mostly a gradual ascent through the dwarf rhododendron bushes. From the top of the Chandrashilla, Garhwal Himalayas the most prominent peaks can be viewed. Nanda Devi (7817Mtrs-the second highest peak of Indian Himalayas), Kedarnath, Trishul, Bandarpoonch etc. are the prominent peaks visible from here. You can explore the area and after that trek back to the camp at Chopta. Dinner and overnight stay in camp.
We start early today and complete the down hill trek from Agoda to Sangamchatti of around 04 Kms in 2hrs. On reaching Sangamchatti we drive down to Rishikesh. Evening free at leisure.

Best time to travel to Chopta is in summers (April – June) and winters (Oct – Dec). Winter treks are also conducted in Chopta and the best months to trek are between Jan and March.
Weather is unpredictable in the Himalayas. Though we are always observant about the changing weather, no one can guarantee a snowfall, rain or Sun. Do understand that your security is of utmost importance to us and we will not proceed any further from the campsite if the weather is not favourable.
The famous Uttarakhand village of Chopta is situated at a height of approximately 2,680 metres above sea level. The region’s high elevation, combined with its evergreen forests and lush meadows, makes it an ideal hiking destination for both beginner and experienced hikers.
